Rookies Awarded NASA Grant

Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 (www.bcrobotics.org), announces they are the veteran mentors for two rookie teams, Santa Monica High School Team #1115 and South High School Torrance #1197. Both teams were just awarded a NASA 2nd year rookie grant of $6,000. Team #1115 is sponsored by First Federal Bank. Team #1197, sponsored by Rolling Hills Prep/Toyota, won the SCRRF www.scrrf.org Practice Competition this past season.

Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 is thrilled to pass on their experience to help ensure that rookie teams will have a positive and successful first couple of years and is ready to mentor other new teams from local public or private high schools who sign up to participate in FIRST's (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology www.usfirst.org ) 2004 season.
