Northwest Author honored with Shingo Prize

This years 'Research Prize', will be awarded for Mr. Conner's 275 page work titled 'Lean Manufacturing for the Small Shop' released by SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) in January 2001. It continues to break SME's book sales records.

The premise of the book is to explain in simple terms how first, second and third tier suppliers (job shops) can implement the same techniques as larger organizations (their customers) while retaining the flexibility and nimble nature required by 'make-to-order' companies.

The book includes a CD ROM containing dozens of files, video, samples, forms, case studies and training materials.
