TI Automotive Wins Major European Contracts


WARREN, Mich April 17, 2004--TI Automotive, the world's leading supplier of automotive fluid storage and delivery systems, has been awarded new supply contracts worth more than $100 million from three auto manufacturers in Europe – PSA Peugeot Citröen, Toyota and Volkswagen.

TI Automotive will provide brake line and underbody brake-and-fuel "bundles" for a new vehicle platform to be shared by PSA Peugeot Citröen and Toyota Motor Corporation in Europe. The components will be produced at TI Automotive's plant at Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, with a planned production volume of more than 300,000 units per year beginning in 2005.

The company also will supply brake lines for the Peugeot 607, with production to begin this year at TI Automotive's plant in Brognard, France.

In addition, TI Automotive will supply rigid and flexible brake lines for Volkswagen's Passat. The lines will be produced at TI Automotive's plants in Heidelberg, Grifhorn and Neunkirchen, Germany, beginning in January of 2005.
