World's First 'SMART' Detector From Ranger-Tell

January 20 2004--I feel like Bill Gates must have felt announcing the first home computer here. The Examiner 'Targette-Garvin' or T-G model is as knowledgeable as it's predecessor plus it features world's first smart options setting.

This means primarily the detectorist can decide for himself how big an area he wants to search in and how far down. Anything outside this box will be disregarded by the handheld locator. This box could be feet or miles in size. Rest easy that if there is an iron obstacle somewhere you can skirt it.

The T-G can tell you how far away your target is, worth $1000 right there, and how deep. Depth is vitally important since the range is so impressive, you need to draw the line somewhere . Otherwise you will be digging for a hit 300 feet down. It's just not practical. Also users who insist on having their metal detector as a backup will be pleased to know it's possible to choose the range of the detector you have and detect only that which you can verify with your beep machine.

I found the Examiner T-G as important to my locating as Windows 95 was after DOS. It puts the skeptics to shame. Now I don't have to walk 900 feet to dig a coin at 5 feet. The T-G will tell me it's 900 feet away at 5 feet. I can give it a miss right away and stick with items of more size and quality closer by and within digging ease. That's if I haven't already set it to tell me what is in an area a mile by a mile square to 1 foot. How long would it take a metal detector to screen the area? Weeks, months even years!

a minute and a half. I thought the Examiner was good. Now that is really saying something and why I think this particular long-ranger will eclipse all others and make everyone well again. Which is true also when you consider the only arthritis or sprain you're going to get with a locator you don't even know is in your hand it's that light... is counting your bullion finds at home. I carried this for a whole weekend at the same time as a backpack and shovels and that has got to be the ultimate winner in the detecting handbook.
