LIVE ON PENN RETURNS TO WASHINGTON, D.C., TOYOTA SCION TO SPONSOR - 10-Week Summer Music Festival Series to Run July 10th through September 18th


WASHINGTON, DC June 13, 2004 -– An exciting line-up of national headliners and up-and-coming local artists are set take to the stage on "America's Main Street" in the Nation's Capital for a second consecutive summer. With a new title sponsor, the Toyota Scion Live on Penn summer music festival series returns to Pennsylvania Avenue ten Saturday evenings, July 10th through September 18th (no show Labor Day weekend) and promises to deliver another summer of great music to the people of Washington, D.C.

"We are thrilled to be entering our second season and are excited that so many of our partners and sponsors are returning for this year's series," said Howard Kitrosser, the Director of Marketing for event producers Rubicon Live. "Once again we have worked to bring in a diverse line-up of first-rate national headliners paired with hot local acts for the people of Washington to enjoy."

Returning sponsors and partners from the 2003 series include Miller Brewing Company, WJLA ABC-7, Newschannel 8, Hyatt Regency Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill, Comcast Cable, and Metro. New to the Toyota Scion Live on Penn series this summer are Z104 FM and Washington Area Toyota Dealers' Association's Toyota and Scion brands.

In its inaugural 2003 season Live on Penn attracted over 100,000 people to downtown Washington, D.C. and has become a major attraction during the summer months for tourists and locals alike. Advance tickets go on sale in mid-June, and are $5 for a single ticket or $35 for a 10-week season package. Tickets may be purchased online at www.liveonpenn.com or by phone at 1-800-594-TIXX. Partial proceeds from Toyota Scion Live on Penn benefit local charitable organizations including the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.
